FRUSTRATION!
FRUSTRATION!
I ordered my '08MCS convertible (on my birthday, yes, HAPPY Birthday to me) last fall. Sales told me it could be two to three months before 'Oscar' arrives. So I figured most of the winter would be gone by the time 'he' arrived. Just over five weeks later I received a call that it was delivery time. My dealership is being remodeled, and I didn't want to let my first ever - brand new car sit out in the elements, especially being a convertible. So I picked him up on December 1st, during the first sleeting snow storm of the season (~5 inches accumulation). The last 16 years in this part of the Midwest have been relatively mild winters. That is it would get wicked cold but the snow/ice didn't hang around very long. Well so much for recent trends. I haven't seen a blade of grass in two and a half months! Oscar is over sixty five days old and only has three hundred - nineteen miles. This is mostly due to fear of salt spray. I can't wash the car every night, especially when we have a significant lack of degrees. So here I sit in envy of those in warmer climes, waiting to see what my car looks like topless. I'd like to take a picture and show all of you how handsome a BRG convertible looks, but snow in the image would just gives you shivers.

Spring will be here soon enough. I feel your pain.... My MINI is sitting in storage and the only time I can drive her is on the weekends and it always seems to rain or be cold on the weekends.
Here in Texas, we've had great convertible weather all winter after a record rainy summer. Now we're in a severe drought but not a heatwave. I'm hoping spring and summer will be good to us when we take delivery.
