Soon to be mini owner

Hi everyone. I'm currently not a Mini owner but hope to be soon! Definetly looking forward to some better gas mileage! They sound like great cars from what I've heard. Are there any commonly known problems that I need to worry about??? By the way I'm looking to get a 02-03 MCS with a manual trans. Anyway thanks for the great site too
