A surprised first owner!

Bruce and Sandy here with a first post to introduce ourselves to NAM.
We have always owned sportscars - too many to list - including MGB, Morgan but never a Mini. Everytime we see one we point it out or call each other. Odd, because we never talked about buying one. Ten days ago, while visiting my brother-in-law who does body work, we went to a salvage yard (temp was -18) to look at a Freestyle he wanted to buy and fix. There just happened to be a Pepper White '04 MC with very light front damage that we couldn't take our eyes from. B-I-L says.."you buy it I'll fix it". We already have 6 other cars...we DO NOT need another...but those Mini's are so sneaky...they find a way for you to adopt them and you don't even realize what happened!! Now we need a bumper, cover, rh parking light...can likely fix the hood. ANY HELP OUT THERE WITH PARTS?? I just happened to save all the magazine print ads since they were first introduced...I guess I really always wanted one! MC lthr nav dbl roof 5spd znn cool and a half

Welcome aboard - great story! We too have owned and still do - several types of British cars including the MINI...

As far as parts, there is a particular forum here called the Marketplace - lots of parts and things for sale. Try there...you might find something...

The parking light only costs about $25-30 new, so that is easy. People who upgrade to an aero kit often have bumper covers available as well. You'll probably have to get a new metal bumper.

Awwww.....kinda like walking by the pound and ending up taking a puppy home. The MINI found a home!

Welcome and I'm sure you'll find lots of help here.

Welcome to another anglophile car owner! Beside the Mini, I have a '75 MGB that I'm the original owner of, and I've had a '69 MGC and a "68 MGC-GT.

I understand the need to have leaky British metal in the driveway...
I, too, have enjoyed the MGB...had a '65 light blue - dk blue top that folded!!! '71 orange both with leather and wires...can still hear the purr. The Morgan was a '52 Plus 4 trials comp car owned by a RAF capt...really cool but traded it for a Pantera and missed the Moog...the Mini will be a fine fit.

Pepper White Front Bumper

If you're looking for a bumper cover let me know, I put an MCS bumper on my '06 MC and have the old cover up in the garage.

Welcome to NAM from central Ga. I was born and raised in St. Paul and always thought that any place No. of Duluth would have summer start on the 4th of July and end sometime that evening and the rest of the time there was two feet of snow on the ground!!

I, too, was born and raised in St. Paul...but it was too hot for me so I moved to the North Shore where it has snowed every month except July-REALLY! - and if it ever got up to 75 I'd have to find a shade tree. Thanks for the welcome...BVR
