I took tomorrow off from work to finalize the purchase of my new Mini. I am still not sure between a Coupe and a Cabrio - I just want to make one more check that my golf bag and my golf cart fit in the Cabrio as that is the way I am leaning. Anyway, I sent my preferred configurations of both the Cabrio and the Coupe to the 3 Mini dealers nearby and asked them to come back with the prices they would be willing to make a deal. Two of them came back with prices and the third (which was my preferable dealer) would not match either of the other two. I am not going to give the details at this time, but I will say that both dealers that came back with prices (by email so I have them in writing) were more that $1,000 below MSRP . This seems to be much better than what I have read about on NAM. I guess there is something about making a purchase on the last day(s) of the month and in the middle of the winter (at least for the Cabrio). More to come.....

 

We ordered our Sidewalk S convertible last Thursday (01/24) and got a discount. We looked at two other dealerships in our state before going with the most attentive and patient dealer. Although not the closest to us, we were swayed by the positive experience and a nice "out of towner" discount. We hope the rest of the experience goes as well.

Well getting a deal is nice, but the real deal is getting to motor in a MINI. I've never enjoyed an automotive expense so much!!!!! The car is better than any advertising can convey.
