Ordered Last Week

Hello everyone,

I ordered my Cooper from Sterling Mini in Virginia 29 December. I've got the Mini Fever bad. Love the sight and all the great info available. Seems like a great community. Here's a pic of my Mini from the configurator:

I already have a set of 17" wheels and a British front plate waiting for it.

I currently have a Honda S2000 track car and a Toyota Tacoma pickup and plan to keep them. I was big into the 3rd generation RX-7 and my old website dedicated to it is still up at www. robrobinette.com

I can't freakin' wait for my Mini!

Congrats!!! Sounds very nice. I've never seen a MY/W MINI before. Seems to be a pretty unique combo.

The Mellow & Black seems the standard choice, but I really wanted a white roof to keep the car cool in summer. Mini of Sterling had a MY/W Cooper S in stock and I really liked it's look.

I ordered my MY/W MiniS on 12/8 and is due in NY on 1/21. I thought the same thing about the black roof....HOT in the summer and hard to keep clean. I also saw a MY/W at the dealer and was impressed. The darker yellow on the 07 and 08 looks better than the "liguid yellow" of the older mini when you have a white roof. IMO

I agree, the darker Mellow Yellow looks much better than the old Liquid Yellow. I probably would have gone with BR Green/w if Liquid Yellow was the yellow offered.

Den, I bet you're having a hard time sleeping with your Mini so close. I really can't wait--I need to find a local that will drive me around in their Mini every few days just to keep me sane.

My favorite color is red but I already have two red MG's, a red Silverado, and a red Honda cbr so I just had to change it up a bit. I think that small cars should be lighter or brighter in color. Better to be seen! Besides, dark colored cars are hell to keep clean in the winter in my opinion.

I do think of my mini alot but I was in no rush to get it as winter is here but now that it's this close I'm looking forward to "THE DAY". I will never be concerned about gas mileage again and that's a good thing. I ride my motorcycle to work year round and only put about 6k on my truck but the mini will be getting most of my truck miles and then some from now on. I know that I'll be making up any little excuse to take a ride in my mini.

I'm not sure if I'm going to name my mini but my miniusa password is old yeller but it's a new car so that might not work. But if it gives me a hard time as in "lemon" I'll call her Cindy.....my ex-girlfriend!
