Having lived as long as I have, one thing I have come to notice, is that those who like to use the word "immature" in referring to someone else, are usually just that themselves. Particularly from the viewpoint of a 51 year old vet.

Carrie: Don't sweat the small stuff. It's quite likely that your ship was delayed in port, waiting for space to unload. They all have to take their turn to dock, and unload their cargo. Any number of things may have contributed to the delay.

This area of the forums by it's nature is filled with excitement wanting and more than a bit of impatience, but it's all for a great cause. If you dont like seeing it, this is not the thread for you. If you want to encourage good feelings and excitement in witing for their beloved four wheeled treats, go for it. If people are having issues with their cars as newly minted motorers, help out of you can. Newbies need a bit of nurturing IMO.

Carrie- Explain the blackjack to me better, do you have the sunroof or not? if not are they putting it on where the sunroof would be? I think it would look cool. I liked the idea of a flag on the roof but I didn't want the entire roof to be a flag. I'm so excited for you. At least you can go visit your baby. Mine'll be 2 hours away so when I finally get to meet Rosey it'll be her going home with me. Talk about a fast first date

You got it MINIkitty - I didn't want to get a sunroof but I did like the idea of a roof graphic. I've been here 5 years but I'm from England originally so I also liked the idea of a Union Jack. Like you, I didn't want it to take up the whole roof tho. My MA showed me the Black Jack and I thought the black/white/grey colors (colours) would look good against the dark silver roof; hopefully a cool look but a bit more subtle than the red/white/blue. So, the Black Jack is the size of the sunroof as technically it's a sun-roof graphic. The guy that puts them on said he could make it look perfect even tho it comes in two pieces so I'm exicted to see how it turns out. Here's hoping it turns out well - I'll be sure to post pictures!

Sweet! That sounds like it'll look awesome! I did get the sunroof and I doubt I'll ever get a flag, I wouldn't be able to decide what country I'd want. I have seen some cool roof graphics I wish I had seen before I ordered my stripes and everything, like the hawaiian flowers etc. but oh well. maybe if my stripes ever get damaged and I need to replace them... I'm totally going to get boot stripes after awhile also. Those just look so awesome!

I am excited - I pick her up at 10.00am tomorrow so I'll definitely let you know how it goes. One area I am a little nervous about is the roof graphic - my MA just told me that when they put it on, they left a gap in the middle. He said it looks "clean" but it just sounds strange. I'm so impatient that I asked him to send a picture, but it appears his phone won't "talk" to mine. I'll be sure to post pictures once I get her in the morning! YEAH!!!!

 

OK Carrie . Turn off the Mini and tell us how much you love her . We are waiting on pins and needles . Hope all went as planned .

Love her, love her, love her. Everything went smoothly at the pick-up and the mini is FANTASTIC!! I'm exceptionally happy with her. I'll start a new thread once I get some photos uploaded. To my eye she is beeaauutiful!!!!
....and the driving is awesome. JCW Tuning kit....so worth it!

 

WHAT!!! after all this time you could not take the time to post a picture!! Simple camera phone in hand or borrow a friends camera but you can drive all around town for several days after ranting about how long you had to wait. You buggling %$#%$%.. Everybody else post can post pictures as soon as they get their car, why not you???
