This kind of abuse wasn't what I expected from this site. My most sincere apologies to all those

Don't even give it a thought Carrie. Just add him to your bozo-filter, that's what its there for!

It's something of an art around here, and Carrie is well within the bounds of that noble tradition. Good job, Carrie!! How did all this get so out-of-hand, you may ask?? One word...one that strikes fear in any MINI-owner-in-waiting with an ounce of feeling........TRICOLOR!!!
Either way - complaining or venting - that's a good purpose of First Gear - to help people cope with their wait and i agree with you - there's no reason to take offense because people are excited about their new baby. I don't know what Spanky's deal was but i hope Carrie doesn't let this little thing ruin her experience - i know for fact it's going to be the last thing on her mind once she gets in her MINI.

I so wanted to say this when I initially saw this first. But did not want to further the discussion. So here I go:

When you mature MileHighSanky, maybe you will understand how humour works.

Carrie, don't let one guy get to you. Obviously, everyone else here has been very friendly Just familiarize yourself with the ignore function and continue as before

Thanks everyone! I did go check out my baby yesterday evening, she's looking good after the long journey but certainly needs to be cleaned up a bit! I also had the chance to look at the "black jack" sun-roof graphic and I've decided to put that on. As I didn't want to get a sun-roof I wasn't sure if the graphic would work, but the guy who does them here assured me it would look perfect and it's a good complement to the dark silved roof. Best of all the JCW tuning kit will be fitted and she'll be ready to pick up on Saturday morning. 3 more days....

This is not humor, it is immature thinking. Carrie got her car in a very short time. She has nothing to complain about. I hope Carrie enjoys her new car.

Your spell checker needs adjustment.

I agree, however those comments were not humorous.

I think the majority of us in here saw the "humour" in the comment and you're in the minority here. Most Mini owners have a great sense of humor hence the goofy grins on their faces but I guess that can't be said for all of them.

It's obvious you're not going to agree with anything said in this thread so please go elsewhere. There's a thread around here somewhere specifically for snarking at each other so maybe you'll feel more at home there.

Thank you and have a wonderful MINItabulous day!

ya know, as tempted as I am to just bozo-filter him, I just can't stay away. It is good to have someone around to point out what is humourous and what isn't.

Spanky has quite the point there. Perhaps if he wears a hat nobody will notice.

What's the ETA on your car? Mine's an 08 and it should make landfall hopefully right around Christmas. I guess I ordered mine at just the right time.

Hope it doesn't snow (or too much) where you live. Rosey must be pretty impatient herself by now wanting to meet you and motor

I live at the beach in SC, we get some ice on the windshield but that's about it. And Rosey won't have to worry about that b/c she's in a garage.

Now does anyone else find this a little weird. I bought my car in Charleston, and it arrives a teh port in Charleston, then has to go to the VDC in Greenville, and then back to Charleston so I can drive 2 hours to get it. (I live in Myrtle Beach, kinda between Greenville and Charleston) That just seems so crazy to me. Oh well at least Greenville isn't a long long way away.

I am being told by my wife the end of January . She is getting it for me for my birthday , which is the middle of January. She will not give me anymore
info than that . She saw me putting in the order for one and stopped me because she had already ordered it .

I do not have to agree and I do not have to go elsewhere. The more post I see here, in response to my first post, just supports how immature most of the responses have been. By the way, there is a good reason why your car goes to the VDC before it goes to the dealer for delivery. It is not crazy. It is the system set up to insure your car is in good condition before delivery by your dealer. More immature thinking and dumb comments.
