Can any one tell me the optimium rpm for power and or gas mileage. In retrospect I might have added some other goodies but that will be the next one.
well im just finally getting my car today after a whole bunch of confusion and stuff. my sales guy at eastbay mini wants me to pick it up but because i have such a huge time constraint with my brother (cosigner) that we dont have time to pick it up.. i almost feel like they are forcing me now to buy the car instead of just enjoying letting me buy the car... not sure if that made sense..

but yeah... ill post pics as soon as i get it.. though it'll be dark but eh watever...

I hit 350 miles over the weekend. No complaints at all, except this work thing keeps getting in the way of having time to drive it!! And....some nice weather would be good for 'top down' time. lol

well... after 3 days of owning my mini, i noticed a few problems.. all very big ones in my opinion.... but of course... in my opinion...

after taking delivery of my mini, the next day i came out to give it a detail spray.... i noticed on one of the stripes that there is a discoloration on there, it looks to be like acid was poured on there so instead of black stripes it is blueish. not only that, just today i noticed it again but on the other stripe!!!! i am extremely mad about this. i find out that its from the windshield washer nozzle. does soap deteriorate bonnet stripes? cuz it looks to me that it does.... im scared to even wash my car now if that does happen.

third thing... there seems to be a bird in my car because the front dash is squeaking so loud that it goes right through my music, and i listen to loud hip hop music (im a young guy lol) my cousin and i got so frustrated at the squeaking that we just simply pulled over and just sat in the car so we could listen to the music (we were just crusing around in the car for fun at first). i am very serious about the loudness of the squeaks. it is so loud that if a bird was in the car, i bet the bird would talk back.

i am at the moment where i dont know what to do other than bring it to the dealer....

Up to 750 miles!
Finally got a chance for a long drive: Houston to Avery Island Louisiana - home of McIlhenny Tobasco sauce - a staple at our house. Drove through the bird/wildlife area and got some great close up alligator pictures (will post after I get them off my camera) and some nice pics of the car partially covered in road dirt but under some trees with Spanish moss hanging all over. It was about a 4.5 hour drive each way with highway and smaller roads. No problems at all. Fuel economy - about 33 miles per gallon mostly highway.

The seats were very comfortable. The sat radio kept us entertained and no rattles or any other sounds other than the turbo on acceleration. I am very pleased since our prior MINI did not make it past a week without problems. It is still as much fun to drive as the first day! Still waiting on the lifetime Sirius - My MA has told me it will be solved soon and is apparently a very common problem. I have not tried out my IPOD cable through the AUX port yet (no USB) but will do it soon!

Sorry to hear about the issues with the stripes and rattles but they sound like routine fixable problems.
