So paint definitely appears to be ahead of assembly.

I'm over getting wound up just to get let down..this experience has been less that normal for me...I would be happy if it made the Fidelio or the Aida.

Heres to wishing that everyone makes it onto the Aida for sure
Sending all good motoring vibes your way to help you get through what is clearly a painfully long wait (that scares the rest of us)!

MINI automated phone says ours is in production and will be finished on Nov. 7. Maybe that means that it will sail on one of these puppies to the East coast?

SOUTHAMPTON 09/11/2007 NEW YORK, NY 19/11/2007 PATRIOT
SOUTHAMPTON 13/11/2007 NEW YORK, NY 21/11/2007 BOHEME

"Let us pray". At least it will not have to face the extratropical storm now off the East coast that is being called the most powerful since the "Perfect Storm" of 1991.

Once she arrives, ours will be in the NJ facility for a while for at least the JCW aero kit paint and install ... no idea how long that will take. Would like it here before the first snow...

Onward, brothers!

*That* would explain why I couldn't find it! I've been looking through all the other week's threads.

I haven't got my VIN to show up on the WW site yet. I did call the ASK MINI line tonight and their automated system let me know that my car was currently in the paint shop and should be done being built on November 3rd. I really hope they mean 2007, but of course if that's accurate then my car shouldn't be anywhere near the paint shop anymore.

I'm sure it'll be more clear when I call and talk to a person tomorrow morning.

I guess it's time for me to check in. I ordered my car on Friday 10/26, had a VIN the next Monday, called Mini on Friday (for the third time ) and they said the car should be finished tomorrow (11/5). When you catch the dealer slots just right, they make these things fast!!!

I can't wait for it to get here, but I also need a little time to sell my current car. Here are the specs:

MCS
DS/B
White Turn Signals
Sport Package w/ Crown Spokes (will keep the tires, wheels will be replaced)
Sport Suspension
Cold Weather Package
Rear Fog Lamp
Rain Sensor and Auto Lights
Automatic AC
Anthracite Headliner
Leatherette
Nav
MFSW
Hi-Fi
Brushed Alloy

Now I'm just trying to decide on which wheels to get before the car arrives! Hmm, will it be Ultraleggera, R99, or Pro Race 1's...

I (finally) put in my order on 10/27 and my car flipped over from 'On Order' to 'Scheduled For Production' sometime yesterday between the Bengals losing and the Patriots winning.

According to my MA (and my own mad counting skillz) I'm in Week 45 (and scheduled to be completed on 11/9 according to the automated phone system), though it seems as if most of the Week 45 people were finished with production last week in week 44. Maybe I'm off by a week.

My specs are in my sig. December can not get here soon enough!

Talked to Doug on the phone this morning and he said that she's finished production today (11/5) and should be down to the docks in a day or two. So now I've just got to memorize my VIN and punch it into the WW cargo tracking site ( http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...trackType=Auto ) a few hundred times an hour.

That's fantastic Minmor!!! I read the whole debacle you went through with the other car. Glad you are finally getting to the cruise!

Still no sign of my MINI as yet however. Fingers crossed. CANNOT seem to get the construction going on the CondoMINIum (a garage for my MINI) going yet-it's taking all my time and I don't get on here or do anything else. Just got a bid in and it looks like it is $43/square foot . Cripes, going to have to find a few ways to trim that down! I was hoping for $35/sq.ft. Hmm.

It must be my lucky day...car on the boat. Got a serious buyer coming to look at my current MINI...what gets better than that?

Good luck on your condoMINIum (that cracked me up)!

Taking a job in England and the law requires rear fogs lights in that country.
$100 upgrade pre-assembly...a kings ransom at the dealership.

You are going to really enjoy yourself. My sister lived in Surrey(outside London) we visited her many times. My niece still there in London she is an editor for a magazine called Kerrang-it is a rock and roll mag.

When my sister lived there they really got to travel a lot- France, Switzerland..Canary Islands Spain etc.

Enjoy your time there and make the most of it...Hey maybe you can see the MINI factory in Oxford while you are there!

I was thinking of visiting the plant.

The dealer just called me...I won't be seeing my car 'til the end of December.

I will still track this car though...so i'll stick around.
