All Aboard the Asian Emperor-to Depart Southampton 10/8/07 in Port Hueneme 10/28
hmmm let me thi.... YES!!!! we cant thank you enough Tharkun!!

Have been super busy for the las couple of days, will try to get the pics of her passing thru the last set of locks posted tonight/early morning..
Nah no big secrets, just having tracked enough of the WW ships to the west coast, can usually guess within a few hours of when they will appear on the AIS maps.
PORT HUENEME
This is a pic of the port, there are two RO/RO docks. When this pic was taken it just happed that both ships in port were WW ships.
There is no live cam at the port, so no live action shots.

As for when AE will arrive in port, rather a guessing game since she is scheduled to arrive and depart on different days. She could be scheduled to arrive
late tomorrow, explaining the departure the following day.
Once she leaves the Baja coast area, depending on traffic as she nears the port, it is usually an 8 - 12 hour trek to port. So only way to know is to
watch the AIS map, and once she is underway and headed north, then it will be easier to estimate an arrival time.

UPDATE
This was the location of AE this morning about 6am. She is now off of the maps, so she should be moored at the dock in Port Hueneme.
Unless AIS has just lost her for now, if she does not show back up on the map within a few hours then she is in port.

As for delivery time from VDC to your dealer, in the past deliveries to your dealer average 7 - 9 day, but as usual, that is just my observations and just an estimate.
And my nomination for the newbie helper of 2007 is...
Heya,
I haven't been here long but i really appreciate the time the veterans of this forum take to help out people in 1st gear. I mean come to think of it: no one has to but they all pretty much do
So uhmmm here i go: The newbie helper of the year nomination from my side is
:impatient
*silence*

THARKUN!
Everyone's been great and Tharkun goes the extra mile in my opinion in helping out new users with questions and tracking the boats. He doesn't have to do it but tracks boats and puts out screenshots and camshots.
Edit: Not sure what the prize is yet but

Thank you for the very kind comments, they are truly appreciated.
After having gone thru the process with Skeeter and spending many hours finding info, seems a waste to not use it. But lately I have other projects
that take up the spare time, so I may need to just concentrate on just the west coast shipments.
As for miniphatty idea for a "prize" I'll settle for a lunch at Ivar's seafood bar on Pier 54. One thing I do miss about WA is there are no fast food fish
bars in this area. I just learned that they opened an Ivar's bar in Santa Clara, so will have to make a trip over in Skeeter and give it a try.
Also ghosthound you are close enough, perhaps we can meet some weekend in Stockton, it is half way fr both of us and share Mini stories.
Since AE has not appeared back on the maps, she must be in port. She could depart anytime after midnight, and once she has , the WW site will
update by showing PH in "red". Unlike the boarding in SH, there will be only one "time" for discharging of all the Minis.
