All aboard the LIBERTY! (Departs Southampton 9/7)
Yes, I see my Mini has been manifested for the "Courage" as well. Due in to Southampton on 14 September and into Charleston on the 30th.
The unsettling thing is that it, as do all of the other vehicles listed on the booking list at this time, has an asterisk beside of the VIN. If I understand it correctly, that means it is "waitlisted". Again. I noticed every vehicle on the list were the ones that got pushed over from a previously missed ship.
I'm thinking at this point that once you miss your originally booked boat, you're probably just like being on standby at the airport. They'll load you if they've got space, otherwise, you are waiting for the next plane. I won't be holding my breath on actually making the "Courage", either.

Hey you guys that were bumped off of the Patriot and Liberty.. possible good news!
We heard from the MA and it looks like we're on a K-Line vessel heading to Southampton!
It's the Emden and it has a scheduled departure from Southampton on 9-7-07 and arrival to Charleston on 9-20-07.
Here's a link to K-Line schedule
We were given a voyage number of 159B which matches the V.159 on the top of the Emden column.
Here's a link to the Sailwx tracking. Looks like it's currently in the middle of the ocean!
Cheers!

KevinV,
Thanks for the potentially exciting news!
I certainly hope mine made it on with yours, since we've been bumped together the whole time. I called my MA last week , but apparently he's not as interested in finding something out for me as yours has been.

Hey! Looks like the Liberty is tracking again on Sailwx and isn't far off the North American coastline. Certainly looks like it could make it to NJ this weekend! Time to start checking port arrivals in NJ! Do they work 7 days a week at the VDC?

yeah the Emden isn't too far behind the Liberty. I've been tracking both of them on a google map.. here's a link in case anyone is interested.

it's pretty easy.. just go to google.com and create an account. After that, I just entered in the coordinates at maps.google.com and it points to it. click save this point and then create a map for it. You can keep adding points and saving to that map. Then just click the link icon on the top right and paste that to share
maybe we should make a google map of NAM users around the world

Liberty appears to making good progress. Looks like it might actually be close to port sometime tomorrow. I checked out that link that Tharkun posted for NEAT and they are a 24 hour operation so hopefully they process those puppies on a rolling basis. Maybe some of us will start seeing our cars hit the dealerships by next weekend!
OL Tracking finally updated to "En Route", I've given up on the automated ASKMINI line.

What Happened?
Whoa! What happened to the Liberty? She was heading straight to NY through yesterday then took a turn south overnight and is now off the coast of VA. Could she be heading to SC or GA first and heading north after that? Doesn't seem like there's any weather that would have forced her to change course like that. Our Red Menace is scheduled to be unloaded at Charleston, so I guess I'm not complaining if she gets there a few days ahead of shedule. Or, maybe the sailwx data is incorrect.
No kidding! What IS up with that? Thought for sure I'd wake up this morning and see her cruising towards Jersey two days early. I cant believe that if they were ahead of schedule, they would waste all that fuel stalling out at sea until their port slot opens up so perhaps SC was open. Still showing expected Port of Charleston on 9/23. I am beginning to think I am jinxed!

Hi Tharkun! Wondered what your take would be on this. Is there an AIS East Coast tracking site like there are for European ports? I tried that two week trial and found that it wasnt very helpful.
On the AIS maps, if you click the "red" lined areas, you can move to differant maps, click long enough and you can track all the way down the east coast to Panama, thru the canal, and up the west coast.

OK, clearly the Liberty got hijack'd to Bermuda. She now appears to be tracking south east......will she do a big loop out and back? Ship to shore radio anyone? Inquiring minds want to know!

If you look at the times/positions on the sailwx site, they do not make sense. Times on in the 24 hour clock mode, look at the times for Sept 15 of 1800 then going south next is 0600 the same day ?? Not !
If you disreguard the last three reports and just focus on the report prior to them of 1800 hrs, that is about the position the WW ships stop reporting using the AIS system. Then they are off the maps till within the coast area, and then appear on the AISfree maps.
It really appears there is a software glitch, and my money is on Liberty is still on course for NY and should start showing up on the east AISfree maps in the next 24-36 hours.
