My MA called on Saturday to say my Mini may be at dealership as early as Thurs or Friday...almost certain by Saturday. Yippee! So I'm changing modes...from production/shipping..to questions on delivery. I searched quickly, but could not find a definite answer. I'm getting Mini with all-season RFs and will put 18-20K miles per year on the car. Anyone know recommendations for tire rotation with RFs? Any different than "normal" tires? I assume if you want dealership to do anything beyond the once/year service...we pick up that cost?
Does anybody know the whereabouts of the Freedom these days? I can't figure out how to find it on Vesseltracker.com, although the Google Earth maps are sure fun to fiddle with.

If you track your VIN and click on the booking number it will tell you the next schedule stops of the Freedom

The link below is for AISfree and shows Feedom's loacation at Baltimore, she is scheduled to depart 9/6.
Freedom has left Baltimore, next stop Charleston. My baby should be off the boat sometime this weekend. This is killing me!:impatient
you and me both!!! they wont actually unload till the 9th but hopefully everyone is in a working mood and gets them checked out and on the truck to the midwest ASAP!!!
Mine has to sit at the VPC a bit to have the JCW aero kit put on it. My MA told me they can do it in a day, because they will have it painted and ready to go by the time my MINI gets off the boat. But still, I'm planning on it sitting at the VPC for about a week, just so I don't get my hopes up too much.
Well for all of you whose car is getting off in SC like mine is, it shows the Freedom came into the dock around 850 last night if my memory serves me correctly and was scheduled to have the cars taken off at 800 this morning. I have checked the WW site and it hasn't shown my vehicle being offloaded yet but I wouldn't think it would take that long so hopefully we will know more by 3 or 4 this afternoon. Then I wonder how long it will take for ASK MINI to say at VDC and give an ETA to the dealership? Anyone else know? Well hopefully only one more week till I pick my baby up!

ASK MINI will be useless once at the VDC, and the OL will be slow at best. OL still shows at VDC after having taken delivery on 8/14. Your best choice is to keep in contact with your MA, they are on a differant data base than what we see on OL and usually have more accurate info.

hey thanks!!! Hopefully my MA will keep me up to date
Anyone whose Mini got off the boat in SC heard anything from their MA about when their car is going to be delivered? Mine said it takes a couple days from when the car is at the VDC before they schedule trucks...and it's been a couple days!!!:impatient :impatient :impatient
I've been told it takes 2-3 days after they've been offloaded for the cars to be officially handed over to MINIUSA (the VDC), which happens after the cars clear U.S. customs. So there is a few days of no news while this happens. Hopefully those of us who got off the Freedom in Charleston will know more soon. Anybody have any good news?
I was excited to learn that once my MINI is on the truck, it only takes 48 hours to get to my dealer in Chicago.
