Oh what fun!!

Met Minicounter and spouse and Mini2na and spouse at a restaurant on the Columbia River, "Beaches". All parked side by side in the parking lot. Such a classy lot of us. And me without my camera! Luckily the others were not as remiss. We had a fun time chatting and catching up. Spouse and I had to leave early to get his truck (needed new tires badly) from Les Schwab before they closed. We called ahead to them to hold the doors open for us, because we were having so much fun and didn't want to leave our MINI friends. They handed us his keys as they were leaving the store.

Spouse is now a reformed MINI passenger and has a little more respect for my MINI chat fests. He likes MINI meets and wants to attend more!

Wow!! What a great time we had! Hubby was completely surprised! He was wondering what the strange people in the parking lot were doing waving at us when we pulled up to the restaurant I think the spouse support group had a much talking about their perspective on the whole MINI thing as we did. Fun Fun Fun - the highlight of our weekend! I'm afraid it might have fueled the 'gotta get another MINI' threat though....

I think BlueBelle is happy now... she likes her new eyes! (We tried them out on the way home and they are exactly what I was looking for in additional deer spotting) She got to play with a red and white MINI for about 50 miles on the way to Portland and then had a great visit with Frodo and Kermit!

I posted a few pictures in my gallery

How fun! Loved seeing the pictures and putting names of MINI Mamas and Papas to faces! Were the spouses included at all in the pics? I loved the happy owners and the beautiful car photos!

Someday when we head up to Tacoma area to visit my hubby's brother and family I'll have to let you all know! Or if Disneyland is in the works for anyone up there, let's do a get-together down here!

The cars looked great together!

So glad BlueBelle is back home where she belongs! What lights did you get, Minicounter? Xenons? If so, aren't they awesome?

Thanks for the pics, folks!

Wow! What a great looking bunch! I'm so happy Blue Belle is back and the three of you Northwesters were able to get together. I'm also jealous that your spouses are coming around. Mine still doesn't understand what all the fuss is about. Oh well....

I love Blue Belle's interior... the wood and leather combo is beautiful

And I still need to get off my butt and order some of those visor stickers. Way cool and much better than the current decor

I'm sure the oversight had nothing to do with an 'establishment of ownership' thing.

Thanks - yes it's really good to have her back! I had forgotten how much attention she demands and attracts! My regular lights are xenons I think but the driving lights are regular. They work exactly like I hoped. The xenon gives the real concentrated bright light and the driving lights give me a look far beyond for critter eyes.

I hope we can all get together some time!

Me too!

Just looked in your gallery again. . .LOVE the black covers on your new driving lights! Subtle! I really love mine, and didn't flinch at all at the 500 extra. Do your driving lights only kick on when the brights are on? That's what mine do, and they ARE great for night mountain driving.

Yes these come on only with the highs. I read somewhere that these black light (the backs are black instead of chrome as well) are new and were originally not going to come out until the clubman (urban legion?) I uploaded a couple more better pictures of the lights.

I loved the look of the lights. I knew Scoopmama was in love with hers, but there is just something about seeing them first hand. They just add something to the front of the MINI. Frodo was jealous. The $$ is the big thing. I'm sure I could add an aftermarket set, but I'd have to have the OEM button or toggle.

What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving? I'm staying in town and going to the in-laws for dinner. My son is coming down from Seattle for Fri-Sat. I'm looking forward to that!!

I want your first major mod to be to the sound system... See how you go and use your experience!

We're going to be going to my sisters for Thanksgiving with all the family. Maybe go for a drive or two And see if I'm talented enough to put the mudflaps on

Well guys - were getting close to 1000 - who's going to post the magical number? I vote for our earliest poster - I think that is Scoopmama.

I got my new plates - no pics to post yet - they didn't come out too well (the ones I took in the garage last night.)

Thanksgiving. Not much going on. It'll just be spouse, pugs, cat, and I (and Kermit - but he doesn't much have a hankering for turkey). Small turkey, lots of fixings and a lazy four day weekend. My type of holiday. That and I am cat sitting the neighbors cats for three days. Joy.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Just bought the Union Jack w/Mini wings sticker covers for Scoop. (Get on the ball, Lil A!) Had to go back a few pages and remember how you all voted!!

Thanksgiving:
M-W teach and fall further behind. Finals are next week (trimester) and I'm caught up, but in CA our curriculum packs so much stuff in that each year I give fewer and fewer cool projects. No time! Grrr.

Thurs and Fri. Clean the house, rid the living room and dining room and kitchen of all evidence of: kids pets school mail hubby's paperwork student projects. Friday- recruit single little brother to help clean, buy Vons pre-made turkey. This is, in reality, a 4-month job, that will somehow seem to be accomplished in 2 days. Doors to bedrooms will remain shut, as will garage, etc. No peeking allowed in any cabinets or closets. Neighbors are ignoring my whining pleadings to use their empty houses to host my dinner. Useless people!

Sat. Late Thanksgiving with in-laws, (who decided hubby and I get to do Thanksgiving this year. . . yep!) my mom and lil' bro.

Sunday. Dishes and reward myself with a drive in my baby!

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Zorro and I (and wife I suppose) are going to a relatives house for Turkey day. My cousin really wants to drive the Mini...:impatient

I have 2600 miles on him and have firmly glued the Sport button in the down position

I know Scoopmama...I do need to get on the ball and get my stickers. I'm also contemplating the driving lights and badges. I just hope all that extra weight on the front end doesn't change the driving characteristics!

Everybody stay safe this weekend and watch out for the crazy people on the roadway.

The Martinis SHOULD be my treat after all that!

Actually, I may have to do the turkey from scratch. I'll browse the stores today and figure it out! Last night the pre-made dinner a box for 2 looked really good- Just buy 6 and call it done!
It's sad. If I didn't work, I'd be experimenting with all sorts of recipes and having fun. Oh well! I'll do that at Christmas instead.

Everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! I know I can speak for all of us in that we are grateful for BlueBelle, Frodo, Zorro, Kermit and Scoop!
And everyone else in our homes and not just the garage!

Absolutely! You too! (I'll bet this trip will be the one that gets your wife to LOVE Zorro! It could be the beginning of fabulous relationship. . .)

School's out and I'm headed home for a wonderful 4 days! I hope the traffic is not as bad as they were predicting.

Just two of a long list, but ones that you guys will understand....
I am thankful for my MINI family.
I am thankful for Frodo.

Have a good one.

I must be crazy - I let my 18yr old (yes the one with the hair) drive BlueBelle to school today Actually he came to the office at noon for our Christmas card picture and drove her back for the hour or so he had left of school. He was pretty jazzed! BTW the hair is usually down (part of the deal was it needed to look good that way)

On Monday we went to his sports banquet and someone brought BlueBelle a welcome home present all wrapped up and addressed to her. She sure is a spoiled girl! It was some car smelly-goods. I don't plan to use them for a while - I prefer the new car smell!

Scoopmama - I believe anything that involves turning on the stove, oven, or microwave is cooking. That includes keeping the Safeway precooked turkey and fixings warm

Lil A Don't worry about the added weight of the driving lights - its more than compensated by the reduction in weight in your wallet

Well Happy Thanksgiving to you all... I feel blessed to be able to enjoy BlueBelle and bring a smile to other people's faces at the same time! I certainly count you all among my MINI blessings You certainly helped me though my MINI trials...

Oh no! Actually it's not near as bad here as I remember regular last-minute Christmas shopping was in Seattle....
I heard Dealers Paradise is having an Black Friday Internet sale on their cleaning stuff Since I actually have something worth cleaning again I think I might check it out...

Enjoy - enjoy and spend a little time in that hot tub afterward

Post 999. Anyone for 1000?

Great Thanksgiving and YES the hot tub was a part of it. My son comes down today and we will take a drive up the gorge tomorrow.

What was it that you liked from Detailers Paradise?

Yippeeeeee! Post #1000! (Thanks for the PM, Minicounter!! ) I think our MINI support groups ranks among the absolute best ever!

1. Pre-Tagus launch support and suppositions
2. Voyage enthusiasm, despair, fiction, personification and tears
3. Pick-up joy, photos, excitement, and support
4. Repair sympathy. . .scratches (those darned kids!), high maintenence princess issues. . .
5. In-person meetings and MINI reunions for our babies!

Does NAM get any better? I think not!
