Ok, Kimberely and Minicounter. Give us your favorite acronym and see if the rest of us can figure it out!
You sound like my sister! She is an elementary teacher. She is currently taking classes to become an administrator and she said when when gets to the financial class I will be her favorite sister...

Wow! Have I been away TOO long! I had three pages of news to catch up on. I've been out of town two weekends in a row with busy weeks in between and havn't had a chance to log on.

MiniCounter... I am so sorry to hear about Blue Belle. I don't know how you are holding yourself together I guess having this forum is semi-good therapy... sorry too to hear about your friends. Sounds like it's been a rough month for a lot of people.

Kimberly... you said you were a "one man band." Boy you had me fooled with that screen name! So you haven't figured out what I do for a living yet... (thanks Scoopmama for not spilling the beans on that one ) Actually you could probably figure it out just by looking at my picture. You sound like you're the smarty pants of the group

Scoopmama... I was extremely sad to hear about your plate I really like Kimberly's idea of STPD DMV But SASSY MC definitely fits!

Mini2na... at least go to the Audi dealer and buy her one of those little diecast A4's. I'm sure she'll love it

Well, Zorro and I had an Awesome visit with Scoop and Scoopmama in Oceanside and the drive up and back was great. The drive back home was really great since Zorro was officially broken in (over 2ooo miles!) We got up to about 120 before I got scared! Zorro had plenty more in him but I thought it best not to push it. The sport button is really cool! I'm definitely going to glue it down. Happy motoring to all and I will talk to you soon!

If "one-woman-band" suits for political correctness, than so be it.

Lil A - a challenge. If I go by pics, your haircut and bearing suggest either military or police. For military options, you are either a recruiter or Air Force. These guesses are preliminary you understand.

Well... I seem to get that a lot with this haircut. I wonder why you picked Air Force.... hmmm that is interesting. Please explain that choice as I am curious. If it's location, we do have an Army detachment here and there is a Marine Corp Station not too distant. Also an Air National Guard Base. I need to know these things... tell me if you have understanding...

Ooh - I have been put on the spot here. I meant no offense. I picked Air Force purely out of location. You are too far from the coast for Navy. Army is everywhere, but when I googled Phoenix for military bases I got two AFBs close by. I would hate to think that I would mistake a fellow Marine. Of course, with your comments, I now think that I am off-base "no pun intended" with the military assumption.

Well.... (drum roll please)... they think they've gotten to the bottom of BlueBelle's problems. She started properly today after a full brain transplant. She needs a couple days of recovery (and testing) and the plan is that we will pick her up on Friday - Knock on those wooden drumsticks and anything else of tree decent... We will have the final word tomorrow.

Soooo if any of you are going to be around on Friday late afternoon/evening let me know.

My secret plan is to stay in the area (or somewhere north) for the night and then spirit husband away to Lacey, WA for the grand opening of the new Cabela's. (Aren't I the good wife ) I've heard their stores are an experience and I couldn't decide on which coat to get him.... It's probably a good thing that we don't have a roof rack for the MINI .

If any of you can meet and/or give me some ideas on a good place to stay that would be great. We are not 5-star people but something nice. We usually try to get over to a nice place on the coast but I think that will be a little out of our way this time.

I do hope that you get BlueBelle that soon. I don't have any plans on Friday so keep me posted.

On a different topic - the Cabela's in Lacey, WA. That is one of our jobs, all the glass I mean. Let me know how it looks - I've only seen the shop drawings and a few pics.

Thats cool I'm sure it will look best with a MINI parked in front! Hopefully it all works out to get the picture. All the testosterone in my family has always had 2 or 3 Cabela's catalogs in each room... Haven't really purchased all that many things but it's definitely the "glamor" catalog of choice.

I should have a idea by the end of tomorrow as to plans. Hubby has to shift a medical appt to make it work...

Hey Minicounter... finally some great news regarding Blue Belle. I hope they come through for you and discharge her on Friday

Kimberley... I used to be in the Air Force (9years, 8 months and a few days) and I am now a police officer. You are WAY too good. I think I need a different haircut

Kimberley - I'm impressed!!

Lil A - I'll have to warn my son... he's been AF for 3 years now. He's always gone for the short look though - even in his "grunge" period Now son #2 is another story... he expresses himself with his hair - it's his trademark... It's all good though - at one point he raised a lot of money for a charity by giving chances to snip at his hair - then donated the clippings to our balding youth pastor

YAY Minicounter!!!!! So glad Blue Belle is a 'comin' home! You really should tie a yellow ribbon on a prominent tree just so your neighbors can appreciate how much you love her!

Kimberely, you should work for the CIA! You and I would probably get along great, since we're such opposites! I asked Lil A if he was in sales, thought Minicounter worked at a donut or Starbucks or retail place, and Mini2Na was just proud of being in North America and was MAYBE a musician (at the very start of summer!) I'm clueless!!!

My mini thrill this week was washing and airdrying my CA duster for Scoop. Baby detergent, nothing harsh. The duster is fluffy and ready to beautify my little car.

Ooh! Also got my MINI credit card. So cute to see Scoop on it My older son is going to travel to WA DC with other 8th graders, and I'm going to put his entire trip on the card MINI points, here we come! I think the ridiculously expensive MINI cuckoo clock would be a lovely addition to my classroom someday!

Are we being picked on here?

No - they extended their cruise (lushes, the entire lot of them) and are currently rounding Cape Horn. When they finally get here, by goodness, their little MINI butts are going to be grounded!!!!

minicounter... it is so good to hear that you are going to be reunited with Bluebell. It has been long enough now. My Friday schedule is pretty tight now, we get to go to a play! I have about an hour window ~3:45 - 4:45. I'll be bummed if I miss a NW meeting. Let me know. I will be in the I-84/I-205 area.

I've been at an educational workshop the past couple of days and unable to make internet connections with my MINI family. It was great to find that there was good news.

Frodo is a pit! I have never had a car that gets dirty faster than him.

MINI butt - I used to describe me kids that way!

Ok double-Minis. . . you have to be willing to travel at least 1 hour to meet! That's the bar Lil A and I set, and you can't back away now!!!!

I'm in it 3 hrs already - course at that time of day on Friday an hour might only be a 10 mile commitment in Portland !

Don't mean to leave you and Lil A out - come on up.. if you got started now...

Two of the things I think I miss the most about my MINI - other than the permi-grin - are the heated seats and being able to find my car when I come out of a store! Our parking lots are not that big around here but yesterday someone caught me wondering around and asked if I were lost. I guess I've never driven a grey/tan 'looks like everyone else' box before. Thank goodness for lights going off with the unlock!

OK - here are a few for fun (not really my favorites though)... using them in a sentence like I know you educators types like to make it easier Oh yes! The symbols in context are so helpful!! NOT!

The CPA argued with the IRS over whether the MINI qualified for §179 or full MACRS deduction. Surely the GVW is such as to escape the IRC provisions of §280F! She considered using SL to limit the effect of the AMT. She recorded the proper DR and CR in the AJE to correct the P&L.
Ok. CPA = certified public accountant. I know a few! They make a lot more money than I do and have "clients" they get to travel to and consult with. Dining out is mandatory.
IRS = April 15 Internal Revenue Service. (Service being the word in question. . .)
Funny double s thingy. . .hmmmm. It looks like the old British pound sterling symbol.
MACRS = Mini Addictive Compulsive Rehabilitation Service
GVW = Gross Vehicle Weight
IRC International Road Charge
SL = Speed Limits
AMT = Auto Maniac Tax
DR = Oh heck, I give up. I so happily pay my friend to do my taxes.
(Actually, she overcharges hubby by about 100 bucks, then treats me to a spa 1/2 day and lunch out!)

10-9??? You all sound totally 918 to me. I'm 10-23 at 10-48 and am 10-17 to 10-7 after a quick 10-100 detail. Tomorrow I'll be 510 to Maricopa for a quick 10-25 and then I'll be 10-17 back to 10-48 for a little 261 with my 101. Hope nobody is 901 this weekend and there are no 415F's. I'm 10-7 y'all....10-4? :impatient

As a typical OC student would say,
"Dude, that is like, so, like tweaked, man! WTF wit da numbers, man? Like, I dunno, like, this math stuff is like, totally freaked. Peace out!"

And the clueless kid. . . "That doesn't add up to 100%!"

OK, Acronyms from my life!
I'm an SP for a PT with BTSA and I report to the DO and consult with my LSPs regarding CTAPS and CPASS. Finished the DOPs with my PT, and now have to get ready for our E-3 with RM!

I got some of Lil A's message (Decoder from interenet helped) but Scoopmam's flew right passed me. Funny, I understood all of Minicounter's message. I hope that you guys have great motoring weekends. Minicounter and Mini2na and I ought to be meeting some time this evening. Mini2na seems to be quite the coordinator. This is good, because I am not.
