Hi All!

I am new to this forum, but I have been checking out the various threads and feel this is a great avenue for Mini peeps. I have learned a lot already by just looking these last few weeks. My husband and I will be getting our first Mini soon, I hope. We're not sure if we are going to be getting a used 05-06 R53 or just go all out and order an 07-08 R56 when he goes to Germany for the Air Force in October. From my readings on the forum I have found that we cannot order an 08 until November-December so we're not sure what to do quite yet. I would love a new one, but then again I want one NOW . This will be my car and I really don't have any patience. I have been waiting for over a year for my chance to finally get one. I will keep everyone posted on when the stork will be coming.

Welcome to NAM!!!

I love your forum name. The pic below is the DH's and the reason I'm getting the Mini. He was against against me getting a Mini sometime back. Even said it was a tin can. Now he's all for putting me in the pilot seat of a Mini to get me out of his pilot's seat every now and again. After test driving them he's also changed his mind about the tin can thing.

I'll be honest, the waiting thing SUCKS!!!

I wish the dealship would've had something on the lot close to what I was looking for. I wish we would've started looking earlier and maybe did some traveling to other dealerships within a day or so of us. I'm down to the final hours and it's recking the rest of my life.

If I ever do this again, I'll purchase off the lot and take my baby home so much sooner. I won't be so picky next time around.

Good Luck in your quest for that special Mini!

Welcome to NAM. If your going to Germany with your husband, you might want to order a new MINI in Germany from Military Sales, not sure how it all works, but someone on NAM probably can give you the details.

As stated above, pre-owned(loved) or new they are a great car.

Thank you everyone for such a nice welcome. Old81, thank you for suggesting Military Sales. We are checking that out as well since it will give us a pretty good savings on a new Mini. It may even be cheaper to buy a new Mini versus a used Mini if we go through them. Mini S Pilot, its nice to meet another Mini and Mustang freak (no offense ). I would love to have a new GT 500, but thats way outta my league and I would have to pass on the Mini which is definately not going to happen. Trying to figure out what you want for a new Mini is aggravating as well. I can't even figure out a base color yet, sheesh. Too many choices .

It took me a month to get it all the options/color worked out....and just when stepped int my local dealer. All those options/color went out the window when I saw the "ONE"..... go figure!
