Hello from the Motor City,
Life long Mini lover here that recently ordered my first Mini: 2007 MCSa PW/B. I've been browsing the forums here for a few days getting up to par with all the chitter chatter. It didn't take long for NAM to get on my list of addictive forums. Everyone here seems kind and there are alot of knowledgable people, so I think I'll be sticking around.
A little about me...
As the title says I'm from Detroit, the "motor" city. So motoring is definitely in my blood. I am currently driving an Isuzu Trooper which seems to get like 15 mpg. Combine that with my 60 mile daily commute, and it's literally like burning cash. I am a caffeine junky that has recently given up his Starbucks habit. My addiction to computers has led me into my beloved career as a senior web developer always on the hunt for more work. I have a passion for listening and playing music. I created a website, MPIII.com, for people that are electronic music lovers such as myself. I am a dog lover with two large dogs that I love to death.
My girlfriend and myself are very excited to get the new Mini. My current vehicle is a total drag to drive around. It's like a big box on wheels, and is not very manuverable in traffic. I would say that is the main reason for getting this new car. I can't friggin wait!

Reading a little about you, I would have imagibed that you would have gotten the Hi Fi system, I have it and I love it!
The first thing I noticed in my MCSa, is that I felt safer in it than my previous 4Runner...
