How is NORTHWEST MINI for maintenance

How is NORTHWEST MINI for maintenance? Are there any folks in the Northwest having engine light...sputtering problems on their 2007 MC automatics?

If you have a warranty you'll be just fine! (I can't answer your second question)
Motor On!

I have never had any trouble with them at all. I have had my MINI in twice and both times I have gotten a loaner and both times were quite pleasant.

You must have bought it there from them, for them to give you a loaner. They said they would'nt, if I didn't. I called three times with questions (once to service) and they never returned my calls...so I'm purchasing in Portland.
That is why I was concerned. Glad to hear you have had no problems.

liaifa, I did the same as you, mostly for the long wait up here vs Portland. Let's hope it works out for us both.

I purchased my '05 from MINI of Murray in Utah because of the long wait and markup at NW. I once had a knock sensor go bad and they fixed it without any hassle and even gave me a CVT Cooper as a loaner. At my last oil service I had them look at a check engine light and I got a Legacy wagon as a rental/loaner which they paid for. They have a sign at the service desk that loaners are only for purchasers but I guess I've been lucky.

They really try hard, but I usually have to make a second trip because they forgot to fix something...

As an example- I just noticed they left off the rubber pads on top of the rear upper camber links when the installing my JCW suspension last year. They also stripped one of the strut nuts when installing my JCW strut brace.

I am purchasing my mini in Portland, but I am 3.5 hours away. I am only one half hour away from NW. Mini. Portland had a lower mark up over msrp, lower mark ups on buying options a la carte, and a shorter wait time for delivery. I'm praying my mini doesn't have all of the problems I've been reading about. I asked if they have had these issues, ( engine lights going on etc..) In Portland. My M.A. said no, and that the mini is very reliable. I hope I'm not sorry. I can walk home from my Toyota dealer! I have been looking at discussion groups for Toyota....just so I can read about problems and complaints... and there are! "Water leaking into Scions....Toyota should take care of this!" My first Carolla need breaks at 600 mi., but then it was trouble free. Scion has been fine, but I'm not fond of it! I'm also worried that I won't know if the mini service department makes a mistake, until it is too late.

I didn't buy a new MINI, I bought my 02 used. But I've had no real trouble with her. I think you'll be pleased with the MINI Cooper!
