Howdy everyone, I have been lurking for a week now, reading up trying to get all my questions answered and hope to be ordering my mini in 2 weeks.

2007 MCS Lighting Blue black roof, black bonnet
Prem, sport, convinece pkg.
HIFI upgrade
black checked cloth seats
rear fog lights
powerfold mirrors

I was wondering why some of you picked white turn signals? I am on the fence, and just wondering if its solely personal pref. or are they more visable or what.

Thanks for all the help so far reading all your posts.

We ordered ours with the white lamps and here are a few pics. Not a huge difference from stock but I like them. Congrats on the new car!

White turn signals seem purely an aesthetic decision to me. Best of luck on your order....very exciting!

I found it interesting that for folks in the U.K., the white signals seemed to be a must. They felt the amber lenses ruined the entire look. Called it the "fried egg effect."

For me, I think the orange blends in well with my Mellow Yellow.

Welcome to NAM. I thought the yellows made the MINI look cross-eyed. Had to go with the whites to avoid it.
My wife said it looked fine. Who knows?

I like the white turn signals in front, but don't like the white in the rear... it comes down to a purely aesthetics question... whadda ya like most-est?

I happen to like the "fried egg" turn signals, which, I think, look more poached than fried. They look like predatory eyes to me. I have xenon lights, but I don't know if that changes the appearance any.

I find that the blue light put out by the Xenons clashes terribly with the amber lenses. Thorws off the entire look. Luckily, when I'm driving, I can't see that effect.
