Where is the list of rides?

Hate to be ignorant here, but I've looked all over this forum, as well as MINI5280 and can't find a list of the rides. People are posting about ride #1, #3, #11, and I'm wondering where they are getting this info? Thanks for any insight. I live in Aspen, so I could possibly help scout some routes. I'll be coming over Hwy 82 & 91

Thanks, Dave

Hello Mr. Toowiley:

Not only in that post, but I can send you my file which is updated now, and more detailed. Note that in our Forums here, I have posted details for a few already, I should get around to doing the rest this weekend watching the ballgames.

In any case, if you want the full list in hand, PM me your email and I am happy to oblige.

Remember, the most popular one so far is looking to be Mt. Evans, 14246 ft on a paved road, at midnight, Nekkid. Oh, and watching the Perseid Meteor Shower which is that weekend too...

Please register if you have not. I can also communicate with you here on your suggestions for Aspen eateries and side trips. We have one to the top of Indep. Pass, the other thru Aspen to Glenwood, then around. I am open to your suggestions and local knowledge for sure. Esp if it concerns local brewpubs..

Jonathan

Hey Jonathan,

I am registered, and am trying to talk with other MINI owners here in the Roaring Fork Valley about attending as well. There are lots and lots of restaurants here in Aspen (not being a trust-funder I know the affordable ones too) I'll PM you with some more info on them. As far as brew pubs unfortunately the only one in Aspen moved to the front range...grrrr (the Flying Dog) There is one in Glenwood across from the Hot Springs at the Hotel Denver, the "Glenwood Canyon Brewing Company" and it's pretty good. It would be a long-ish side trip but where Hwy 82 meets Carbodale Hwy 133 basically starts and it goes as far as Paonia and beyond, but even just going up to Redstone following the Crystal River is one of the best drives anywhere, full of twisties and nature--my personal favorite around here. But it's probably a little out of the way. As far as around Aspen, there are a couple side roads that go up to Ascroft and the Maroon Bells, that are fun and pretty short. The only problem with the Bells is they close the road to regular traffic (from like 9-4 or something like that) during the on-season, but they are the most photographed peaks in all of north America. Anyway, I'll write you soon. Looking forward to this event. Dave
