Show Your Stripes!

Ever since I order my MINI I've been thinking I should have ordered without the black bonnet stripes. I even called at one point and tried to cancel them but was too late. I was glad to see the posts on how to remove them if I decide to in exchange for something more unique.

What kind of non-factory stripes have you guys done? Are they painted on or decals? I would love to see what you've done so as to gather ideas.

The red stripes:

The Purple:

Seafoam green:

Or Christmas?

They are just too easy to change . . . all the same car.

Highly recommended . He did both my vehicles, which have won
several awards. You just give him an idea, and he will create!

I just showed my bonnet, roof, and boot... shouldn't I get beads or something?
All are vinyl.

Although my particular MINI has no interest in stripes (trust me, we've discussed this over and over), I will say this thread is very inspiring......and inspired! Good job everybody!!!

These were my stripes on my beloved GOLDIE.

Wyatt is stripe free at the moment. With Royal Gray, I have many options, so I want to plan something just perfect.

In an effort not to hijack, here is the link to my saga. They were great stripes!! Flat black and went all the way back. The flat black on the glossy black top looked superb!! We had those stripes put on when GOLDIE was a year old, kind of a birthday present, if you will.

Awesome Stripes everyone!

Uncle John, where are you getting interchangable stripes. That is too cool.

I never thought I'd like a gold MINI but Goldie has totally changed my mind.

Thanks everyone!

I used to hear that alot. We had just about de-blinged her when she died in the line of fire. She was totally coordinated black and gold/tan. Most people who didn't like Gold, liked her. She had a very spunky attitude.

The light blue stripes and roof were done by Cooper Flags. after a year and a half, I got bored and visited a friend with a sign shop. He lets me rummage through rolls of vinyl and then cuts 'em 4" X 36" so I can trim to fit. The christmas stripes were off his new printer on a "removable vinyl" not made for the long run. the adhesive was just a little stickier than a sticky note. I put them over the purple stripes, used them for a week and then pulled them off. The purple was still perfect. I think the next ones will be yellow with a black border. It's cheap fun . . .

Mine are matte silver colored on a red car. The English Cross of St Andrew is an off-the-shelf graphic sent by relatives in the UK:
