2010 r56 s hid fog light troubles.

I decided to upgrade my fog lights to a 35w hid setup, but when I went to install them the bulbs instantly blew out. I know I had everything hooked up properly, and didn't get any contaminants on the bulbs. What am I missing, or what do I need to do to make this setup work in my car. Any info would be helpful.

Not for nothing, but hid's in the fogs really isn't an upgrade..

Without knowing exactly what you're using and how, nobody can help you.

I guess I should say the upgrade is purely for a tiny bit more output and looks. Picked up a set of h8 35 watt 6000k hids from a local shop. Didn't go ebay for various reasons. I had them in and it seemed as if the lit up for a second and then the bulbs were done. I know I'm getting power to them, and know that all the wiring was hooked up correctly. I guess what I am asking is if there is something specific that I need to do in order to use a hid setup on my foglights. Ive never installed a set before, and like doing things myself. Any type of info or any tips would help.

http://www.xenondepot.com/H8-HID-Kit...D-p/xt-h8.html this is what the kit is. Not the best on the market but still decent.

Try unplugging the bulb's pigtail, rotating that plug 90* and then plugging it back in.

It's unidirectional as all sockets such as this. Only goes one way.

?? I installed a set into the fogs 4 yrs ago, they would plug in both ways. Directions even stated to switch it around if not lighting up...odd.

They did come on for a second but the bulbs blew out. What would cause that? Bulbs had no contamination. I just don't know why both bulbs would do that.
