Help with rim issue :l

I apologize in advanced for asking this but I did not see a sticky on the forum and I cannot find a answer online. I have a 2006 mini cooper s. I also have a set of universal 4 lug wheels 4x100, 4x114.3 just like these in 17x7 http://www.wheelfire.com/scontent/Wh...431-3&SKU=5678. My understanding is that these will fit my mini cooper. My problem is that the lug stud bolt will not even fit into these rims. I am unsure what I need....If someone could please point me in the right direction that would be great! Again I am sure this has been asked time and time again. I just need to know what I have to do.

OK, asking for a little clarification.

Is it: The lug stud bolt will not pass through the holes in the wheel, or is it that it does not reach through long enough to seat into the wheel hub.

If it is the bolt will not pass through the holes in the wheel, the possibilities are to replace the lug stud bolts with wheel studs and nuts, there are several available different widths and lengths. e.g., http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Site...tud/ES2631414/ the trick here is to make sure you get the ones small enough to fit in the size of the holes on the wheel. (don't forget the lug nuts)

The other option is enlarging the holes in your wheels to a size that allows the stock lug stud bolts to pass through.

Best of luck.

Motor on!

You have 14mm lug bolts. Mini switched in late '06 from the 12mm lugs they had been using. Either open up the holes in the wheels or buy a conversion stud kit to go to 12mm threads.

You'll need tuner lug bolts, if available. They have a smaller head diameter.

He meant 8-hole multi-fit wheels. 4x100 & 4x114.3

I am sorry to be blunt here. But are the ones ECS linked the ones I actually need for my car?

You have to check what size lug bolts you currently have. In late 2006 mini changed to 14mm threads. The ECS pieces shown are 12mm so if you have 14mm bolts they will not work.

Yep,

"12x1.5x60mm for R50 R52 R53 up to 7/2006 " its marked above. 7/2006 was the split year.

Thanks
