sorry, I've searched for 1hr and I couldn't get a clear answer as to what bulbs fit in rear license plate light.

some say 194, some say festoons. Which one is the real size? FYI, i have 05 MCS, and I want to change them with super white color, pref. with LED.

"owners manual" and on page 124 it states that the license plate lamp is a 5 watt bulb. Usually I say something sarcastic because it seems way to easy to just post a question instead of just trying the most logical place, but I'll contain myself this time. Good luck with the bulb replacement.

Since this is from an '05 mc(although you'd imagine the bulb for that might be the same) you can try your owners manual and see if it isn't the same.

since you'll be changing it out anyway why not just remove the old one and have a looksee?

 

I don't think there are any reflector type housings in the license plate lights. and LEDs are directional, therefore wouldn't really light up the plate at all, unless you managed to point the bulbs downward.
