Home Depot Gutter Guard Mesh Grill (Front/Black)

Well, I know lot's of people don't like the HD Gutter Guard but I did mine and it looks great! (In my opinion) Tell me what ya think! Before and After! I have also blacked out a lot as well! In this picture my front tow hook isn't in but I painted it red and put it on their as well, also painted my calipers red to match! Will post those pictures later when it stops raining! Next up is the Joey Mod! I will probably tackle it this weekend! Only had the car two weeks and it looks completely different! lol! I love my MCS!

Before:

AFTER!!!!:

That's the Home Depot Mesh, I Plastic-Dipped everything else black and also did the Home Depot front lip!

Meshed the Hood Scoop!

Took out the Honey Comb and matched the mesh with the rest!

The rear flow-thru as well!

(I know, I need new taillights!) (Also I am going to take off the "OOPs" looking for a R53 emblem if anyone knows!)

The Gutter Guard cost me 2 bucks for a strip 3' x 1', only used about 4 of them!

Nice work - not my style - but professional looking work.

Would not of guessed the Home Depot source.

The front lower bumper was simple! Only a couple of bolts and it came right out. The rear I didn't not remove, got under the car, grabbed some scissors and cut the head shield just enough so you can't see it, then I just did it all from under the car!

You can get an emblem here. I already ordered mine even though my car is still on the ship :-)

Awesome! Thanks so much, I just took off the "OOPs" today and you can still kind of see it in the sunlight so the "R53" will cover it up nicely! Planning on painting the R Red and the 53 black!

So how did you attach the gutter guard grills to everything? Epoxy? I've been meaning to replace the plastic lower grill and rear grills with something.

It really just depends where, like the lower mesh I used zip ties in certain areas and little screws in other places. With the middle and upper I made sure it hooked around the old tabs and used the stock bracket. Really just kind of go with the flow and diy!

Looks great, nice clean work. My only addendum would be that I'd paint everything behind the mesh fore & aft flat black.

Did the radiator grill and cowl inserts back in '03. Good to see this mod spreading...

Just recently did my rear inserts with the aero bumper... Little different as I didn't cut the bumper...

Cut the bumper? And I use to use the gutter guard from my radiator grill only Kawasaki, that's how I got the idea! It's cheap and easy, looks professional!

looks great! i might try this on my 05....when it gets warmer out.

this looks just about as good as the aero grills but way cheaper and easier to install.

any other tips? seems like you didn't have much trouble.

Wow, very impressive......and cost effective!!! I did M7 all around, and ordered extra matching pieces from the factory to do the fogs and rear. Embarassed to say I much I spent......but in the end, I'm happy like you!

As mentioned before, I painted everything behind the grills flat black,in contrast to my silver grills.

GREAT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!

For the front grills....what did you do for the bottom of the top grill and the top of the bottom grill? Do you have like a strip of plastic or is the edge of the gutter guard exposed?

This part right here:

Thanks!

I bent it around the metal of the hood so it's not sharp!
