Question Brake wear sensor question

I took the rear wheels off my 2019 F56 JCW and noticed that there was no wear sensor on the left rear brakes. Is it normal to only have a sensor on the right rear and not left rear?

just to give you a quick reply, on my R56 that is correct. One wear sensor in the front and one in the back. opposite side i think.

That’s exactly the case as I was told at the dealer 3 weeks ago. My left rear was metal on metal with no sensor- idiot light on dash. They replaced both rear pads and rotors under warranty.

One sensor on front, one on rear.

That's how it should be on the left front and right rear have sensors only.
