I am interested in purchasing a set (4) of 205/45-17 or 205/40-15 summer performance tires. Recently purchased 17" S-lite rims with prada-2 tires that are at the end of their life.

Interested in General Exclaim UHp tires, I have the original set of 15" steel hollies with ContiWinter Contact tires that I use for the winters.

I have 215/45/17 RE-01R's for sale with about 500 miles.

 

Who is the manufacturer of these tires? I would like to look them up on the web and read uo on em'.

I am under the impression that 215/45-17 tire height is 24.6" and that the R50 tire height cannot exceed 24.3".

Is it possible that different tire manufacturers can have wider (215) and larger wall profile ratio (45) and still be below the 24.3" R50 requirement?

Tire rack provides a very nice spec sheet that posts all the information required to make sure that tires purchased will fit.

 

I just figured out who the manufacturer is and the cost of these tires are out of my budget, awesome tires though, very good feedback on tire rack.

According to the survey with coloration and ranking these are no much different from te General Exclaim UHp tires, the cost of the bridgestones $175 the cost of the generals $62 per tire.

Thanks for resposnding to my initial add, but I don't think I can afford your tires.

I'm asking $625/shipped. The survey results indicate both tires are good choices but that doesn't mean they are comparable (they scales are relative to the category. A '10' for dry traction on a snow tire is does not indicate better performance than a '9' on a summer tire for example).. The General are a good all around tire...the Bridgestones are much more performance focused.

24.6 works fine....only .2" taller below the wheel which is virtually unnoticeable and the extra tread width really helps with grip.
