ok here's a new one. i need the ring that the CVT shifter leather boot hooks to. hopefully someone understands what i speak of.

it would be the black plastic hooked ring underneath the trim ring AND the leather boot that the boot actually hooks onto and keeps the leather held in place. mine snapped when reinstalling a new redline boot. they're prone to deteriorating i suppose. as usual BMW plastic .

i can't locate one WITHOUT a new boot from the dealer or pelican and don't want to pay the price ($71) because mainly i'm paying for a cheap leather boot i do not need. the ring on its own should be no more than a $20 part.

nobody eh? i knew this may be a tough one! ok i think the technical term for it is the boot retainer ring.
