WTB: 2003 Radio/CD Unit

I have a March 2002-build Cooper and I had the OEM Aux Installed by the dealer, but these early radio head units do not support and play the Aux adapter, because the Mode feature on the unit does not allow you to recognize the Ipod.

So, according to my dealer, the unit I need is from a 9/2002 to 9/2003-build car that has the Aux option when you scroll thru the MODE feature in the radio/CD unit.

I've seen several different part numbers for 2003 units, but my dealer is saying that the actual part number I need is 65126977698. If anyone has one lying around and are willing to make a deal, please let me know.

Please PM me or send an email to chrishauck10@netscape.net

Thanks,
Chris

Have you tried www.car-part.com ?
I've bought a radio plus other stuff off there in the past.

I've got one too. Mine was an 11-02 build. It's just sitting on a shelf if you're interested.

This radio should work and dealer said it should work even though the part number is not exactly the same. What is a fair price for you? I'm in PA, but I would think shipping would be between $10-$15.

Let me know.

I take it you weren't interested in my PM... Oh well. Just so you know, the stock non-HK radio/cd player is a standard size and you can use any of them from late 03-06 to get your aux controls as far as I know. If you get an 05-06 unit you may even have mp3 cd playback capabilities. Though, I have heard that they are a little touchy with burned CD's.

Thanks for your reply, but I just picked one up from Mike (above), but I appreciate all your replies. According to my dealer, only 2003 radios will work in the 2002 Minis. Apparently, they changed something up in each new version of the Mini they put out. My SA at the dealer also said that 2005-2006 radios will absolutely not work in the 02's. Seems kind of bizarre to me, because all look the same, but you know how they configure these things.

Anyway, thanks again everyone. This 2003 radio I just got should do the trick.

Chris
