Yeah... as others have said, though... need some other parts for a complete setup... this price is OK but not FANTASTIC once you factor in the other parts you need.

FWIW, I have a contact in Germany checking dealers there to see if they can get it without the GP VIN...

from what i heard, nowhere in the world can you get a GP IC from the dealer without a GP vin #...and even if you give them a vin, the reps will most likely stop the order after they check into the vin and your name on the order.

Well, the cost is around $900 + shipping. This is including all parts needed like the air diverter, holders, bolts and nuts. Shipping is from UK.

well, the guy does not sell the whole "package". He sells the IC only. Then, I'm getting those from MINI factory in Oxford, UK, add the exchange rate. Well, it's up to you. For me, I'm getting it even if it's $1200, it's just about time.

Not true. Peter (the guy in Austria) includes the GPIC-specific support mounts, GPIC cover, and GP-specific air defuser for the bonnet... everything you need.

I know, because I bought one from him.

Great, I swear if those become available, I'll dump my friend and buy it from Peter. But, where else other than my friend to get GP parts? Also, you might think it's too much for an A2A IC, but, some people will pay thousands to keep the stock look. For me, the most important thing that my car remains a silent beast

listen guy.. I can give 2 sh*ts about that overpriced GP junk. And if you think im mocking you, oh well!!!

People on this site need to be different and stop going with the trend b/c they saw someone else's great results using a certain product. Remember.....Theres ALOT of variables on how a product will work with the different mods and location from one car to the next. also people forget the big picture here....not everyone lives in a perfect bubble nor next to the person they saw testing a certian item they want so remember that gas,sea level, ambient temp is not the same and will make that item react differently from car to car

First of all, before I hit the "report this post" button, I wonder with the gear ratio you are at on NAM and talking with this language. I'll be as clean as much as possible replying to your latest posts. And let me lay things in points just trying to make this thread helpful instead of a war place:
-Heat Soak: I'll assume an experienced guy like you knows the issue with heat soak, and the fact that OEM ICs are best to recover from that.
-OEM Look: I'll assume an experienced guy like you knows the BMW and BMW dealers and how naughty they are when it comes to warranty. The moment you install an OEM part BY YOURSELF you are subject to lose warranty on that. OEM parts have to be installed by OEM certified technicians. Also, let's not forget the fact that some people like me would fight and pay much more for their cars to remain silent.
-I'm not ripping anyone. I've never announced a sale, a group buy or anything. I'm buying this product witheven $1200. So I see no reason you act that way. I'm even not welcoming or entertaining anyone asking me to get him once. My guy is buying this as a favor and it's completely hard for him to get GP parts. Hardly a peice of every part.
-I'll assume an experienced guy like you knows the issue with air cooling. The more you cool the air the more you get performance. No matter what "variables on how a product will work with the different mods and location from one car to the next...that gas,sea level, ambient temp is not the same and will make that item react differently from car to car". Some rules rule like cooler air, less weight. wider tires. Whatever conditions are.

Now, Mitsubishi Evo does beat Ferraris and Lamos, does this mean that the Ferrari ripping people for the price difference? I think you should reconsider what you said and how do you think. Again, I'm not a vendor and I do not wanna sell anybody anything. I'm said what I have from Mini itself and IF I ever think of helping someone to get a GP IC, it would be a favor nothing else.

Guys, cool it please (pun intended!). I only posted to correct a misstatement that Marwan made about the Austrian source.

If Marwan wants to offer the GPIC for $1,200, that's his decision... and members are free to choose to buy, or not to buy, at that price. Everybody needs to do their own research and make their own decisions on what is worth it to them.

listen Mr M....Nothing i said towards you was insulting or rude so hit all the buttons you like....its called freedom of speech and i was just stating my point of view so get off your high horse and relax.

please search before stating facts as you did above....

1. you cant lose your warranty for installing oem parts on your car yourself.

2. the dealer doesn't have to install oem parts to keep your warranty

3. you cant lose a warranty because you installed something on your car.

You might not be covered for the said failure if its in conjunction with the said part you installed if its after market, but they cant void your warranty like that.

ok im done...and sorry edge.

Nope, this is not the way it is here and for most BMW dealers around the world. BMW is trying to help the dealers make money out of: Installation charges AND labor charges.

Here, if you buy an OEM part and you have a proof of purchase. You can not claim any warranty from BMW neither the local dealer UNLESS you have proof of installation by a CERTIFIED BMW DEALER.

This is the way big companies do business, they do not care if we like it or not. The simplest thing you could hear when claiming a warranty is: "How could we know if this part was installed correctly?"

Edge, I just cant beleive the way he talks. He started a fire when he's not even concerned. I do not know what's his problem! Well, in modern world and freedom that he's claiming, if someone does not like a post in a thread, just let it go and scroll your screan down. I'm really sorry for him and some others.

Congrats to all of ya'll that can't stop for ruining this guys WTB thread.

So here is the deal, if you have a GP IC to sell to the OP then feel free to chime in, to the rest that seem to like to see themselves in print so much, you're done in this thread.

Thanks,
