Mine ships out on Monday! Should be here in time for an install next Staturday. Just in time for the brutal Texas summer heat.

I've been putting off getting an OBDII scanner but I plan on getting one this week (before the IC is installed) to gather some before and after data. I'll definitely post results here.

A ScangaugeII will enable you to collect that data as well. I'll try to collect and post numbers from my 2009 JCW later this week before I install the Helix intercooler.

I was thinking of getting the ScangaugeII but then I read some good reviews on the Torque app for Android so decided to get one of these and a Craven Speed mount for my phone. Hope it works out.

Looking forward to seeing your numbers Ray.

Received my intercooler today. Polished it with "Blue Magic" rubbed to a nice luster and then used wheel wax. When the end caps were taken off a fair amount of small metal particles and machine trash fell out. Make sure you flush it out good before using. Otherwise a nice product from my initial looky....

I am not in position to buy my reserved IC from Helix. If someone wants my "spot" and get it shipped for "group price" TODAY, let me know by PM: I will provide you with my Paypal to cover my $75 deposit.
I cleared Helix about this, so first come first serve....

Mine too!

My OBDII / Bluetooth transceiver isn't arriving until next Wed though so I'm going to wait until after I gather some numbers before installing mine. Probably next weekend. Can't wait!

i am unfortunately pretty new to LA, so i don't know of any shops. i think one member mentioned a shop somewhere north of downtown, but i can't quite remember the name of the shop.
i plan on doing it on my own, with a friend's help or forum members' assistance. that's why i was asking if there might be interest in a fmic install meet up. i would have offered to host, but i live in an apt bldg.

i might do it at my frd's shop in Temple City, east of downtown LA. If we can get a group of ppl, we might be able to get a good discount.

i actually enjoy wrenching (sometimes) and this doesn't seem to be a terribly tough job. i'm gonna give it a go myself. i actually have the alta fmic which requires a little bit of cutting too. just thought it'd be interesting to see the differences between the two fmic's (performance #s too) if people wanted to get together and wrench.

I looked and didn't find any metal particles and machine trash in the ends, it was clean as a whistle!

Oh, I got a lollipop with my intercooler, too!
Cool!

I'm mechanically challenged so the Dum Dum Pop right next to instructions link really hit home. Nice touch!

Oh, mine was clean as a whistle too. Thanks Helix!

Just wondering

Is everyone keeping the stock hot/cold side tube or upgrading to other alternative?

I installed the NM on mine. Probably doesn't add HP but gets rid of the noisemaker and the muffler and looks good too.
