M7 DFIC Aerogel Heatshield
M7 DFIC Aerogel Heatshield
Greetings everyone.....
We finally finished the promised M7 DFIC Aerogel Heatshield.
This thing is fantastic at rejecting heat emissions from the engine block.
Our final production version incorporates an IR rejecting layer closest to the engine and a layer of the most unique of heat rejecting materials Aerogel. Finally a layer of fiber reinforced heatshield material, that gives the heatshield abrasive and soil resistant qualities.
We also did some testing on this final version of the M7 Heatshield and the numbers are staggering if not shocking......
Check this out....
Surface temp of hotplate 440º F
Top Surface of heatshield 138º F
Exposure time 30 minutes
The heatshield was positioned 3/4" from the hotplate.
The M7 Aerogel Heatshield is only recommended for the M7 DFIC or water-to-air intercoolers that are directly affected by engine heat.
Price: $99.00
Availabillity: Now
And as always, feel free to call us with any questions.
