Designed to fix a known weak point for the MINI B3X and B4X engines, this billet aluminum oil filter housing cap is a direct replacement for the factory plastic cap. The OEM piece is infamous for cracks, stripped threads, and rounded hex heads—often failing during routine oil changes and turning basic maintenance into a frustrating, time-consuming repair.

Our precision-machined billet aluminum upgrade eliminates those issues, delivering strength, durability, and consistent fitment you can rely on. An integrated drain plug allows you to drain the filter housing cleanly before removal, reducing spills and mess for a faster, cleaner oil service. It’s a simple, smart upgrade that improves serviceability, reliability, and underhood appearance—exactly the way it should have been from the factory.

Install Tip** When installing aftermarket or factory filter you will need to replace or install a new O-ring from the plastic 10NM Drain plug on the cap. Our design on the 10NM drain plug only needs the smaller O-ring from that oil change kit.

**When installing aftermarket or factory oil filters you will have to align the filter on the tube inside the oil filter housing then align and tighten down the cap. This forces the plastic tabs on the top of the filter to snap in the tight metal tabs on the inside of the cap.
