Tire Advise Requested

i need new tires. i am opting for non-runflats. i have OEM 17" S-Lite wheels.

i want a wider and possibly lower profile tire. aggresive street driving. typically driver only but occasionally one passenger, never more.

i am targeting the Goodyear F1 GSD3.

215 - 40s ?

The S-lyte rims are 17x7.

Your possible tire sizes are 205/45-17, 215/45-17, 215/40-17 and even 225/45-17 or 235/40-17.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 in 215/40-17 is fine and will work for aggressive street driving. Just don't hit any potholes, 40 series is pretty stiff.

Ride quality is a little bumpy but OK with stock suspension. The GSD3 is great in dry or wet conditions but not for any snow.
