Found my vibration source.

So the MINI is getting it's spring cleaning. Inside, outside (clay bar/polish/wax), top, bottom, new tires, new filters, new Mobile 1 oil, etc....plus trying to find the source of an annoying vibration that started a week or so ago and was getting worse.

Well, i found the culprit. Left rear wheel hub assembly. This rascal here....

The durned thing was near seized up completely at 39k miles. Got the new one at Classic (80 mile r/t). Seems they're replacing more and more of these. Not that hard to replace (but a bit pricey), just perplexed that at 39k the bugger would got south.

But I'll tell you what, the 'ole MINI sure sparkles after it's makeover and drives soooo smooth with the new shoes and new wheel hub.

Unfortunately it's raing snakes and snails now with snow in the forecast (again) but I just couldn't wait any longer to do the spring cleaning.

Oh well, it was clean for a little while.....

......Les

Thanks for the info and glad you found and fixed the problem, but remember that "going south" is a good thing.
