How are they in the rain and how long do they last?

Thanks

I use them as my summer tire & I love them
They've been fine for me in the rain & I know they've won races as intermediates

I've run both the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 and Hankook RS2. I chuncked my Goodyears pretty easily, but my Kooks did not chunk. So, if you haven't had issues with the Goodyears, you'll definitely have no issues with the Kooks.

I had RT-215 on my '02 WRX, love it. It did well @ AutoX but got greasy after 4 or 5 laps @ Street of Willows. RT-615 handles heat a little bit better than RT-215 but the stickyness was lost in compensation for heat improvement. Recently, I got Hankook R-S2 Z212 205/50-15 for my CRX. It grips and handles the heat well @ Buttonwillow. I would say, it handles the heat much better than Azenis and cheaper.

Now, my weekend toy turned into daily beater MCS, it is so much better than SUV anyday, I am leaning toward Ventus.

Good luck and keep us post about for decision and experience.

that sounds promising, so much for narrowing down my choices, lol

how would you compare the performance of those two tires, especially in terms of sidewall stiffness and dry and wet braking?

I drove the Goodyears as a daily driver / autocross / HPDE tire, but have only driven the Kooks as an autocross / HPDE tire. I'm not comfortable giving a performance comparison between the two as there was a fairly large time gap between me using both of them.

If I had to make up a comparison, I'd guess that the Kook has more performance, but the Goodyear lasts longer... and they're both round and black.
