Are 16" rota slipstream wheels compatible with jcw brakes on 2006 jcw mcs (r53)? Anyone running this combination? Spacers necessary? Offset? Also, I have a post 5/06 mcs. Is a stud conversion of 14mm to 12mm necessary to run these wheels?

I have exactly the same question. did you find out if they will fit or are we stuck with17s/

The Rotas work with the 14mm lug bolts. With SSR's the lug bolt openings need to be enlarged. I can't help you with the JCW brake question.

 

C'mon NAM, someone has got to know the answer to this question. I am running the 16" Slipstream, but with stock brakes on a MCS. Any of you JCW people running a 16" wheel?

 

I agree....someone on NAM should know this. If there is one site that would have the answer to our question, it should be NAM. I'm a bonafide NAM lurker . I tend to find answers to my questions without posting. However, the answer to this questions remains unclear. Help, Please.

Raising it from the dead.

I have a newly purchased 2006 JCW with stud conversion. The car is a July 2006 build, so I guess it uses 12mm x 1.5 lug.

I wanted to slap on my aftermarket wheels (cheap 17x7 Akita Racing AK8) that I had on my old 2002 R53 and keep the JCW wheels and good rubber for autocross, but quickly found that the wheel nuts didn't fit

So it looks like the old Akita wheels will be going up for sale.

But I really, really, really want gold 17's that will fit the JCW with the wheel studs.

Do you guys know of any resource / person / web site that would have this kind of info?
