wheel bolt paterns different between the years?

I may have missed this, but have the bolt patterns changed over the years? By this I mean, do the S Lites or Stars I have on my 05 fit on 02 through 06's or did something happen with the 06's? And if so how would I know wheels from an 06? Please advise. Thanks.

I believe the only difference is the later model year '06s changed to the 14mm lug bolt. Other than that, MINI wheels will interchange between years.

Correct - the bolt pattern has remained the same (4 X 100mm), but the diameter and thread pitch changed. The GP, and all MINIs produced after about mid-July 2006 have 14mm x 1.25 thread pitch bolts. The earlier cars have 12mm x 1.5 thread pitch bolts.

All of the factory wheels that MINI has used over the years will work with either size bolt, so no worries there. There *are* some aftermarket wheels that don't work with the new, larger lug bolts, however.
