Need opinions on a summer wheel/tire combo

I have been reading the tires and wheels forum nonstop for the last week. I have gathered a lot of great information. I have compiled everything, and here is where I am at.

I think I am set on getting Konig Rewind rims in a 15x7 in graphite.

http://www.konigwheels.com/catalog_p...ID=1&ss_id=388

Obvisously I want to match the Minilites on the classic. Since my car is Blue and Black inside and out, I think the graphite will look great. I don't think I want to spend over twice as much on Panasports to get a 16" wheel unless someone can make a great case.

That is the easy part. Tires are a little harder decision. I am looking for an UHP Summer tire. My X-lites and runflats are going in the garage and will only come out in winter. My '06 is my daily driver, so I need a tire that can handle dry and rain well. I plan on taking my car to the track 3-4 times this summer, so high performance is my goal. I am willing to give up some comfort for high performance (since anything will still be better than the runflats). Here are my choices (that fit the 15's) in my current order:

BFG G-force KDW - 205/55/15
Yokohama AVS ES100 - 205/55/15
BFG G-force Sport - 215/50/15
BFG G-force T/A KD - 205/50/15
Kumho Ecsta MX - 205/50/15
Hankook Ventus R-S2 - 205/50/15

My top choice of the Goodyear Eagle F1-GS does not have the correct size. The G-force are supposed to have the best dry performance, but the wet performance is not as great. The G-force Sport is probably the least aggressive, but it is the widest, and comes the closest to stock height (the rest are all smaller than my stock 16s and will put the speedo off by up to 5%).

So anyone with experience or opinions please chime in. Obviously I am not in a big hurry because it is still winter in St. Louis, but I am trying to narrow it down some.

Thanks,

Brian

My wife is a chemist at Bridgestone/Firestone. I have put the Potenza RE-750 size 205/55-15 on my holies. These tires are great. The dry grip is unbelievable. They are very good in the rain, too. The tires have also removed some of the understeer in the car. I'm sure most summer tires will put you on rails. Good luck.

I park my Mini for the Ohio winter/road salt. I miss my Mini very much, and can't wait for the Dragon!

Hope to see you at the track this season. I am in STL, too.

I have had the BFG KDW's, MX's, TA KD's, and Yoko's ES 100's on my MINI which I track several times a year. I prefer them in the order listed.

Can I ask where you are getting your wheels and how much you are paying? I wonder if Rewinds fit over the Wilwood 11.75 BBK?

I have 215/40-17 Kumho MXs on my monster Miata. I'm downsizing to Hankook 225/45-15s (949 Racing 15x8" wheel). The Kumhos are awesome in the dry, but less than stellar in the wet. I'm hoping the Hankooks will do better. If the 15 inch wheels and Hankooks work out I may go that route when I replace the 16 inch runflats on my MCS.

I will probably get the Rewinds online. good-win-racing.com has them for $99. Autotire is the only local place to sorce them, and the quoted $136. (And I didn't like the person I spoke with, so I will not be getting them there).

I doubt that the Rewinds will fit with your BBK. I know the stock brakes are fine, but the JCW brakes do not fit.
