JCW Brakes on 17" S-Lites

I'm researching for my first real mod: upgrading to JCW brakes on my 06 MCS. My question is will they work with the 17" S-lites rims? Or is there a size difference that'll push me to 18"s?

Cheers!

My new 06 JCW MINI, including JCW brakes(not the car below), was delivered to me with S-lites.

There are a few millimeters clearance.

I've since changed wheels, but they were fine.

Two sets of 17 x 7 wheels in my garage...both clear my 'o6 JCW brakes just fine.

I use S-Lites as my "winter set" with snow tires. My MINI has the JCW brakes. They fit fine.

The official word is that all OEM 17" wheels will fit the JCW brakes. This is stated in official documents that come with the JCW brake retrofit kit. There are also a very selective few OEM 16" wheels that will fit too. See this item from MotoringFile:

MotoringFile >> Archive >> The JCW Brake Kit and What Wheels Fit

I have a set of the 18" JCW wheels as my "3-season" set for the rest of the year.

JCW Driver is right... factory ordered JCWs can come with S-lites.

I got my JCW, but had the s-lites swapped for 16" R87s (double spoke). There is still about 1/2 inch between my JCW brakes and the 16" wheels.
