Can I powdercoat my stock wheels?
Can I powdercoat my stock wheels?
Just trying to save a little cash.
I want to change the look of my car w/o spending too much. I'm thinking about going with black wheels. Can I powdercoat my stock wheels black? I have a 2005 MINI non S with stock wheels and run flats. Thanks.

Note:
Surface preparation is the most important part of powder coating. The end finish is only as good as what it's applied to. Sandblasting the surface of your material prior to coating provides and excellent surface for the powder coating to adhere to. Blasting also increases the adhesion and durability of the finish.
I would not suggest powdercoating over your stock wheel finish. The OEM finish will need to be striped and removed first and the bare metal prepped for powdercoating.
