14mm to 12mm stud conversion?

So I just took deliivery of my '06 Cooper S last Friday and found out just after the nick of time that I can't use the 3 sets of SSR Comps I already own unless I ream out the mounting holes...not much (~ 1/32") but still...

Anyone know of a source for a 14mm to 12mm stud? I imagine I can troll around hardware stores/site and probably find something (grade 8 or better) that has a 14mm end to thread/Loctite into the hub and then it would neck down to 12mm to clear the rims but don't know of anything so far...

Believe Tire Rack is looking to do something but haven't heard anything but rumors so far. Had their stud conversion on the '03 Mini I sometimes co-drove w/Chris (FWD-MX5) in HS and was very satisfied.

I'm posting first to see what's out there before I start trolling the hinterlands of Germany (where I'm living now).

thanks for any help y'all...

We're working on it right now... We have several quotes in hand, and will be placing an order soon. Once we place the order, it'll be 4 weeks until we have them in hand...

Thanks! PM me or post when they're available... I'll put my order in as soon as you let me!

Likely be ordering set # 4 of SSRs from Tire Rack while I'm at it...need a new set in 16 x 6.5" now for GS competition. Prolly shod w/ A048s for 'Ring runs until I return to the states in a couple of years then either Kumhos or Hoosiers for Auto-X.

ANyone know if Tire Rack or Discount Tire or ?? will start carrying Yokohama AD-07s in 15 or 16" sizes? I "imported" a set for my Miata (brought 'em back on my plane w/some cargo!) a couple of years ago and LOVE them...best street tires I've ever had.

Period.

Unbelievable grip, turn-in, etc. w/ almost no noise compared to other tires I've had.

Any ideas on how they'll be tighted to the hub? Double-nut, allen head in end, whatever...since they'll need to go 14mm - 12mm a nice touch would be to have a couple of flats machined in on the area between the two different thread sizes:

12mm end ... smooth area w/flats for a 14mm or so wrench ... 14mm end:

They'll have an 8mm allen head cut into the end for easy install... to snug up to the hub, they'll be a shoulder on the 14/12 neck. A bit of Loctite during install on the hub side, and wallah!
