OK - I know, try the search...but I came up dry

This past couple of weeks I put 3000 miles on my CS with 17" silver s-lites. O-my-gosh, while washing I found a couple of chips in the wheels. I don't care to entertain discussions of the pro's and con's of the wheels. All I want to know is what's the best way to deal with the chips in the surface. I have the paint touch up kit for my body color and lest other advise I'm going to buy paint to touch-up the wheel color (testors silver looks close) then use the factory paint clear coat.
