Stock 16" runflats vs 17" non runflats ??
For those of you who have experience with both, how would you compare the two? I will be getting the stock v-spokes but hope to change to the R99's right away due mainly for the look. Will the 17" non-runflats (probably BFG G Force Sports or Toyo Proxes 4) give a rougher ride due to the larger wheel or will it pretty much be a wash due to going to the non runflat tire? Thanks for your any input.
I drove on my V-Spokes with runflats for about 2 years, then switched to 17" with runflats for about a year. Now I'm running on 17" non-RFs. The current setup is the best ride (by a small margin) and the best handling (by a HUGE margin) of the 3 setups.
The tires I have on now are actually slightly taller than the 17" rfs that came off but look lower because of all the sidewall flex.

I have Mohawk Predators in 215/45-17. They are a reasonably priced tire (recommended and installed by the guys at Big O) at about $120 a corner and they get MUCH better grip than the 205 runflats.
