Driving along today I noticed a crunching, high-pitched squeal. I was just coming up to a stop sign, but unsure if I had started to brake or not when it started. I stopped (as any good citizen would at a stop sign) and slowly took off. Voila! No noise. I only drove back around the block after the noise had disappeared, but hopefully it's gone.
Is it possible/common for 7 hole wheels to pick up stones, sticks...etc that would cause this?

OVERDRIVE
somewhere between ice crunching underneath your tires and cold brake pads?
crunchy AND high-pitched squeal don't go together very well! I highly doubt it's your wheels picking up any debris; plus, if it doesn't do it anymore, is there a problem?

My Advice: don't worry about it unless it happens again (and regularly), plus you can replicate it
Good luck
