Ok... after many track days it looks like my front JCW brake pads (and possibly rotors) may need to be replaced before my next track day.

Just a few questions for all you knowledgeable folks:
1- How easy is it to replace pads and rotors?
2- Where can I get pads and rotors other than the dealer? (looking for lowest priced OEM parts)
3- Does anyone know if there are metal sleeves available for the JCW brakes?

Now... I've turned a wrench before, but it's been a while. I'm looking for any tricks or things to watch out for during the install.

lexbomb -

If your car is still in the 3yr/36000 (or, if you paid for the 4/50), it is covered. It was one of the selling points (both the sales manager and SA verified this fact).

Other than that, I've heard it's expensive. I'd look at one of Motoringfile.com's sponsors to get the 20% discount....

Who makes aftermarket pads and rotors, I believe is the question we would really like to get answered.

I'm past the warranty, so I've got to suck it up and pay for it myself.

I'll keep looking.

I know rotors are ~$70 a piece from Classic. I'm assuming they're identical to some other BMW application, e.g. 3-series. Could be the same for the pads.
