Whats every1 running for rubber, and conditions??? I need some help...

I am shopping for some new rubber, but can't decide what to run. I live in SC and I see all sorts of weather. I travel alot to florida as well. I am looking for something good all around, but also with High performance... What does everyone think? I was going to go with a 215/40/17.... Please help me out. What is everyone else running and in what kinds of conditions.... Thanks Spike

I was looking at these two:

dunlop Sp fm901
Falken enzia

we don't have terrible weather conditions here, so i prefer to use high performance rubber. 215/40/17 is wonderful for my taste, using Goodyear F1 GS-d3s, like Ken, loving the tires, awesome wet traction as well.

Well, since I was born and raised in Charlotte (South Park), I'll chime in. Hendrick MINI is always advertising new wheels/tires on eBay for cheap. I came close a couple of times to buying a set of R84s with Dunlop 5000s as a spare wheel set. I've seen them advertise about a half dozen sets over the past few months for around $450 (complete wheels/tires...all new). That would give you some winter and road trip options, and allow you to buy some hardcore rubber for the Dragon and mountain/beach blasts. BTW, the Dunlop Direzzi outperforms the FM901 for about the same money.

I use the 17" BFG G-Force TA KDW2 too. Great tire in the dry & wet. I certainly agree with the above quote. This is a summer tire not intended for snow though.
