Question about some aftermarket wheels...
I have some Tenzo wheels and they came with those plastic-y bushing type things that fit over the hub and then you put the wheel on over that. Know what I mean? Is it possible that over time those things could wear and start to give the car a slight steering wheel vibration at highway speeds similiar to a bent wheel? I had my wheels balanced and rotated and the vibration didn't stop. For kicks today i put my stockers back on and there is no vibration at all. I noticed that when i unscrewed the lugs from the tenzos, the wheels just fall off. But we all know how the oem wheels are usually a pain in the *** to get off and when i put them back on i could barely rotate them on the hub to line the bolt holes up. So I'm thinking the aftermarket wheels just arent tight enough. If this is the case, does anyone know if you can better sets of those bushing things anywhere?
I think you're talking about the hub centering rings. When I got my wheels I didn't like the idea of using plastic, so I purchased some metal ones. Vibration free! I got them at http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...riesWheels.jsp
and at 15 bucks for 4, they're cheaper than some plastic ones I've seen.
