Ok, well a bit of an update. I was on Tire Racks site and did the search for approved installers in my area. One of the places that came up is somewhere I've driven by a few times and noticed because 1) there is a DS/B MCS parked in front of it fairly often, and 2) They have an Amsoil display in the window, so wanted to see if they sell it or just use it on cars they work on.
Anyway, one of the owners called me back and it turns out they are one of the sponsors for the BMW driving school I've signed up for. He is always at the driving schools and was very helpful with what I would find useful for the driving school as well as the Autocross school. He likes the Yokohama tires and says I can come by and look at some wheels in person, but that he can also recommend quite a few from the Tire Rack site. I really like the Panasport style one that Yucca posted, so will print that and take it over there to see if we can find something close to it but more in my price range.
David (the guy I was talking with) is really great and is psyched to get some MINIs and some girls in the schools, so I felt very welcomed!

RallyMini, so where did you find those? I can't find 17", I'm sure I'm not looking in the right places.
Annette

I also really like these, not sure about which finish to go with on any of them. I just know that I'd like a silver/chrome type look.

I knew RallyMini would point this thread in the right direction.

RH wheels get a big , had a set on my last car and they were tough as nails. (and I'm not talking about Racing Harts)

You can't go wrong with the classic Panasports or look alikes, but in my opinion to really pull those off you need 15's and a healthy drop. There are so many wheels out there that I haven't seen done yet it's a shame so many of the same wheels keep showing up.
