wheel offset

I'm running 18x7.5 Konig +42mm offset with 2" dropped PSS9 w/o rubbing. The ride is slammed and you could not fit a penny in the rear flare I've track it too.

you're right. Don't use a 10.5" width rim!!

7-7.5" width is most ideal

I would love to hear what you guy's think about a 17 inch wheel with a 38mm off set and 215/45 for tires with H-sport springs. Alex at Tire rack tells me that they guarentee that they will fit if you do some (lip work). I don't know if that means cut a little away from the plastic linner or roll a base ball bat under the fender and tire (joke) . I don't mind dremeling some plastic but I don't want to do heavy body work of any kind. I just don't want to make the wrong choice and want to know for sure before I buy the wrong wheel and tire. I'm looking at ASA AR-1s with the goodyear eagle F1GS_D3s. What they offer for the mini is a 42mm off set with these wheels but the lip is to shallow so I plan to go with the 38mm off set which they offer in the 18 inch AR-1. I want the 215/45 for a little wider tire and a little more rubber between the wheel and the ground. Do most Mini owners get as worked up as I do over such things? 05/Cooper S,

Thanks Alex, I'm sure you deal with people like me every hour. Could you explain to me the size difference I will get going from a 205/45 pirelli run flat to a 215/45 Goodyear Eagle F1GS-D3 in terms of width and side wall height. Also did you ever look at that post about the White ASA AR-1s? Could you tell me what size you think they are. Thanks Alex! you da man.

215/45 Is 1/2 inch wider and 4/10th of an inch taller than 205/45.
