225/45/15??
Ok, I have a set of Hoosier R3S03's from my Accord where I was running 225/45/15 up front and 205/50/15 in the rear. I'm figuring this is a long shot, but will this setup fit on my MCS? If so, what offset wheels would I need? I know the setup is not legal in G Stock, but it will save me a ton of money, and I will probably be moving to Street Prepared eventually anyway. Thanks.
The offset you will need depends on the mounted section width of the tire, MEASURE IT YOURSELF, and the struts and springs you are using and how low you will be going. My best guess for you, based on some 225/50/15 BFG KD's I mounted and measured at 9.0" on a 7.5" wheel is that YOU will need a +40 offset wheel. +47 worked for me with stock struts and the KD's. Not every 15" wheel will fit the car either, to say nothing of the tires. You will need to be careful with clearance at the bottom of the front ball joints and at the inside edge of the rear wheels where they may rub the suspension arm depending on width offset and the thickness of the wheel.
Thanks for the info. I have stock suspension for now, and plan on doing coilovers but probably not for a while. I will probably only use 225's until it's time for new ones, and I probably won't be lowering the car before then. At least now I know someone was able to fit a 225 under there already. Worse comes to worse, I need to buy 2 new tires.
